Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the website and Google Docs add-on.

By accessing https://document-approval.flowlyapps.com or using the Google Docs add-on (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Acceptance

These Terms form an agreement between you and Document Approval for Google Docs™. You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the Service.

Service Description

The Service provides tools to send Google Docs for sequential approval. The current product is a Docs add-on that supports creating approval requests, capturing a document snapshot, notifying approvers in order, and collecting approve or request-changes responses through a review link.

You can install the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace when available: Google Workspace Marketplace.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the Service
  • Interfere with other users’ access to the Service
  • Submit or share content that you do not have the right to submit or share
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or target individuals in unlawful or abusive ways
  • Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data

Documents and Approval Content

You retain ownership of the documents and related content you submit for approval. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, to create snapshots and serve review links).

You are responsible for what you submit and share, including ensuring you have any needed permissions from people whose information appears in a document or approval request.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • How you use and share approval review links
  • Complying with applicable privacy, workplace, and confidentiality rules when sending documents for approval
  • Respecting Google’s terms and any policies that apply to your Docs and Workspace account
  • Keeping your devices, browser, and account access secure

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its branding, design, text, and software, is owned by Document Approval for Google Docs™ or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials except as allowed by these Terms or with our prior written permission.

Third-Party Platforms

The Service interacts with Google Docs and other Google services that we do not control. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms and policies. Document Approval for Google Docs™ is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, including changing free availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that approval requests, snapshots, notifications, or review links will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the add-on and ceasing use of the website. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
